Craftsbury Survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima Passes Away

1864122_profile_picThe world has lost yet another WW II veteran. David Reed of Craftsbury died on October 11. He was a survivor of the battle of Iwo Jima. Not only am I fortunate to have known him, but he also allowed me to record his story in the pages of VT’s Northland Journal. Whenever our family hosted a WW II event, he was always there and willing to say a few words. He was a proud Vermonter, and a proud veteran. Rest in Peace, David —————- Scott

This is a link to my radio show, the Vermont Voice, in which David came on to reflect, at the time, 65 years back to Iwo Jima. Click HERE
