A Hike Up Bald Mountain

My wife, Penny, and our daughter, Emily, spent the morning (June 10, 2012) hiking Bald Mtn. in Westmore, VT. What a great day for a hike! We were joined in the hike by the sister and brother team of Boulder and Molly. Amazingly we only ran into two other hikers. The fire tower at the top provides unparalleled views of the area around Lake Willoughby and far beyond. Although we were greeted by a clear sky, there was a bit of a haze, but not enough to hide the view. This is a four mile out and back hike. — Scott Wheeler/Publisher
