Between 1947 and 1984 Jerry and Natalie Davis and their family operated Jay's Snack Bar in Derby. For generations it was a popular gathering spot for the young, the old, and everybody in between.

These are some photos from the early years at Jay's. Feel free to share your own memories. It should also be noted that one of the Davis' children, Elaine Davis Pepin, has been writing an ongoing series about life at Jay's for the Northland Journal.

The Journal is sold in stores throughout the Northeast Kingdom and is delivered to subscribers in about 40 states. People interested in subscribing to the monthly publication can send a check or money order for $22 for one year, or $40 for two years (with delivery in the U.S.) to P.O. Box 812, Derby, Vermont 05829.
