Come to Fall Gathering of the Morgan Historical Society
Come to the annual fall gathering of the Morgan Historical Society on Saturday, September 13and enjoy good food, good, friends, and good history. The gathering will take place at the E. Taylor Hatton School in Morgan at 6 p.m. People are asked to bring a dish and a $5 donation for the potluck meal. The event is open to the public.
This year's guest speaker is Scott Wheeler of Derby, a local author and publisher of Vermont's Northland Journal. He will talk about the life and accomplishments of the late Vermont governor and U.S. Senator, George Aiken who, in 1949, coined the phrase "Northeast Kingdom.
